The AR-16, the top-tier assault rifle in the game, is an amalgam of several Armalite models, specifically the AR-15 and 16. All AR-16s in the game come with a green-dot optical scope, providing an accuracy boost over the other, non-scoped weapons. To this end, a skilled player can use the AR-16 as a medium-range sniper rifle, using the zoom feature of the scope. The AR-16 is permenently locked in a three-round burst mode, firing three times for each press of the trigger. The weapon has a unique camoflauged stock and foregrip as well. The AR-16 is rare until the beginning of Act 2, when it becomes very common until the end of the game.
